Rasht, situated on the Caspian Coast has little in the way of interesting
architecture, but it is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding
areas. From here, you can visit the charming UNESCO protected mountain
village of Masuleh or take an excursion to Anzali lagoon, home to
wild horses, colourful migrating birds, and giant pink lotus flowers.
