“Once Upon a Time in Iran”, a TV documentary, was screened in February 2007 on Channel 4 in the UK, on PBS in the US, and throughout Europe. Working closely with the producer, we did much of the research for this documentary, including finding pilgrims for them to film on a trip to Iraq. We also arranged their visas, transport, hotels and transfers. We obtained film archives and sourced Iranian music. Our major achievement was getting them into Iraq with permission to film in the extremely sensitive sites of Karabala and Najaf.
“In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great” was a four part TV documentary retracing Alexander the Great’s 22,000 mile expedition that first joined East and West. It was broadcast on the BBC in 1996. Zohreh Majidian of Magic Carpet Travel was credited as the Location Coordinator Iran Production. We sourced locations and interviewees, arranged access to museums and obtained film permission.
Discovery Channel
"The Most Dangerous Nation" was part of the Koppel on Discovery series and was aired in early 2007. Ted Koppel decided to visit Iran 27 years after American hostages were seized in Iran. He looked at the historical reasons for Iranian's suspicions and for their support of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's refusal to halt Iran's nuclear program. He also explored Iranian's perspectives on Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel.
Working with the producer we organised transport and accommodation. Click here to read the producer's account of working in Iran.
